Bionformatics Post doctoral position in the Epigenetic Unit

Description
A 3-year post-doctoral position is available starting from September 2012 in the group of Dr. Alessio Zippo at INGM in Milan, Italy. Our newly established team investigates the epigenetic mechanisms that dictate the establishment and the maintenance of stem cell identity. We aim to dissect the molecular mechanisms through which transcription factors mediate the epigenetic responses to environmental signaling in Embryonic and Cancer Stem Cells.
We are seeking highly motivated candidates that will be working closely with a group of biologists and be involved in designing and analysing dataset obtained from ChIP-seq and RNA-seq studies. Moreover, you will have the possibility to closely interact with scientists of the Bioinformatics unit situated in INGM.

Qualifications
We welcome candidates holding (or about to obtain) a PhD degree in computational biology, bioinformatics and related fields who wishes to join a dynamic and interactive team. You should also have excellent skills in both programming and communication and have a good understanding of biology.

Please apply by sending a letter of motivation describing your interest in this research and past research experiences, a curriculum vitae and names of at least two referees to:

Dr. Alessio Zippo
National Institute of Molecular Genetic (INGM)
E-Mail: zippo@ingm.org
